Yet another beautiful rainy day

I think we may be in danger of having our camping trip rained out! But I don't even want to go there until Saturday morning.

So far today the kids seem to be making the most of the rainy weather. Love it when I don't even have to remind them to turn off the tv. Mind you they are still in their pajamas - but that's OK, I am not planning on heading out the door.

Imaginations run wild

Upstairs friend playing - at least she is now dressed - first visit was in pjs too.

Tomato soup is on the stove simmering. Who knew it was easy to make from scratch - we'll see how it compares to Campbell's.

On the knitting sided I am trying some voodoo to make the yarn last on this little sweater I am knitting for Janey. You know the old knit faster, power of the mind stuff. Don't think it is going to work. I have the second sleeve to finish and a neck band to do, before the seaming that has to be done. Hopefully my knitting friend may have a smidge left over from a baby surprise jacket she made of the same yarn.

Oh, look, it is raining again!

Another FO

Here is my newly finished Lucy in the Sky Cardigan
Yarn: Knit Picks Andean Silk in Cranberry

I didn't make any mods to the pattern, and really the only thing I am a little unhappy with is my grafting of the seed stitch, but it is really not too visible.

Little Rusted Root

I finished Anna's Rusted Root last night. She is even enjoying wearing it today.
Yarn: South West Trading Company Amaizing
Needles: Size 5 - though I should also have gone down in size to to the edging. The neck does flop over a little.
Cast on 82 stitches and basically followed the directions for the smallest size.

I'd say it is seriously cute!

Anna's Artist Trading Cards

These are Anna's art cards that went out in the mail at the end of last week. So far she has received 4 in the mail this week. Just 1 more to come. It did take a bit of prodding at times to get her to finish the art and to try her "best".
